Dear Gospel Choir Members:
Wow! Who can believe it has been twenty five years since that first small group of Williams College students gathered in Currier Ballroom to sing Gospel Music. Ten students gathered in a semi circle singing a cappella. That small group was the spark that ignited the big fire that would eventually create the Williams College Gospel Choir.
As one of the founders and first four year director of the choir, it is truly an honor to see the Gospel Choir continuing in the vein in which it was established; to spread the word of God through music. Since its inception, the Gospel Choir has become many things to many people: a form of worship, a haven away from the turmoil of the campus, an arena for fellowship and support, a moment of reverence, an expression of faith, a form of art. And it is with this far reaching impact that I invite all former choir members to the 25th Anniversary Celebration.
The current choir, myself and a group of Gospel Choir Alumni have gathered to help organize us to come together at the Gospel Choir’s Spring Concert to praise GOD and to celebrate the Gospel Choir.
